Kalgoorlie – The gold rush, set off by Paddy Hannan’s discovery in 1893 was one of the biggest in Australian history. After dinner, visit Hannan’s North Tourist Mine where you will enjoy a short play highlighting the tales of The Golden Mile and the beginning of the thriving days of gold glory.

Rawlinna – Five hours drive from the nearest big town of Kalgoorlie, you’ll enjoy an outback encounter to remember including a visit to the ghost town of Cook. As you enjoy morning refreshments, witness a moving, dawn experience as the desert comes to life, and marvel at the raw beauty of the Nullarbor.

Your journey from the Indian Ocean to the PAcific Ocean begins as you pull away from the platform in Perth mid-morning. Settle into your comforatbel cabin and get to know the creature comforts of life onboard. Enjoy a modern Australian lunch as you glide through the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley. After a relaxing afternoon onbaord, enjoy a three-course dinner prior to your late evening arrival in the wild west township of Kalgoorlie.
Awok to the spectacular expanse of the Nullurbor Plains to watch the sunrise. Be captivated by the big blue skies and ancient stillness of the desert landscapes, broken only by a mob of friendly kangaroos. Waiting ahead is the charm of the once-thriving Nullarbor railway community - no ghost town - of Cook. Sit back and relax as the train continues its trek across the longest single stretch of railway in the world. Another mouth-watering dinner is followed by relaxed conversation in the llunge before a restful night's sleep.
On arrival in elegant Adleaide, you have the choice of a wlaking tour (seasonal), a behind-the-scenes tour of the world famous Adelaide Oval, breakfast inside the Adelaide Central Markets, a scenic drive through the hills, or a coach tour of the city sights.
Wake in the picturesque Blue Mountains. See the majestic Three Sisters at Echo Point and the views at Jamison Valley before completing your journey on our chartered New South Wales rail service (fully hosted by our Indian Pacific Crew) into Sydney Central Station. Alternatively, stay on board the Indian Pacific to travel directly into Sydeny.
Your trasncontinental adventure begins in Sydney where you board the Indian Pacific. Prepare for a joureny of contrasts, from luch vineyards to vast glodmines, majestic mountains to the barren expanse of the Nullarbor, from cities of fourmilliion to ghost towns of four. As the train winds through the breathtaking Blue Mountains, explore the comforts of life onbaord, get acquainted with your cabin and fellow travellers. After dinner, join fellow guests for a late night drink or head back to your cabin for your first night onbaord.
YOu arrive in the 'Silver City'of Broken Hill as the day begins, where you embark on a morning of experience to discover the mining history and artistic culture of this unique town where the streets are wide and there's a pub on every corner. Lunch is served onboard as the Indian PAcific enters the southern tip of the spectacular and ancient Flinders Range. Arriving in the city of Adelaide in the afternoon, you have the choice of a tour of the city, a visit to the world famous Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale wine regions (seasonal). or a trip to the beautiful Adelaide Hills Featuring the culinary delights of Hahndorf Winery.
You'll awake to the seemingly endless expanse of the Nullarbor Plain. Breakfast is served as you travel along the longest stretch of straigh railway track in the world. This evening, your sense of wonder will be ignited as you enjoy the tranquility of dinner under the brilliant desert stars in the remote and beautiful Rawlinna (seasonal).
